FMS Spreadsheet

This is the Excel spreadsheet we use for our traditional FMS, Functional Movement Screen (Developed and designed by Gray Cook).  In case you dont know what the FMS is, I highly recommend going to http://www.functionalmovement.com/ and purchasing the book Athletic Body in Balance or Movement by Gray Cook.

Like all of our excel designs, this card is adaptable to your use of the screen and the situation, as well as colors and company logos etc.  Even if you do completely different tests, we can accommodate that.

FMS Score sheet

This is my excel spreadsheet, which I use for not only scoring, but for corrective exercise progressions and tracking.

This is a fully automated FMS workout card that includes progression list, score sheet, workout card, and individual and team tracking sheet.  The progression sheet allows you to create a 10 level progression for each FMS Screen, with 6 exercises per progression.

This is the exercise progression sheet.  Every screen has 10 levels of progressions, and you can add 6 exercise per level.

After you have entered your exercises for each level and screen, the automated workout card simply requires you to select where your client is at!  If you get 10 clients with 10 different screens, you can quickly, easily and professionally set up the workout sheet for that client.

Here is the step by step process of using the workout card:

First, you select which screen you want to address with your client.

From here, you select which level of progression or which level of exercises you want that client to use.

Then its done!  It automatically pulls the exercises from your exercise list so you do not need to do anything else.

Training a team or a group of people?  No Problem!  We have a full team tracker included within the file that allows you to see any trends within specific clients.  Enter the scores for each athlete into this sheet:

From here you can see each individual cumulative score and the average score of the screen over the entire group.  With teams, this can help you identify specific issues that you can address within your programming, or adding to your warmups or for active recovery!

Both the scoring sheet and the complete file is available for download immediately after purchase!

How It Works

I offer multiple levels of pre-made personal training templates and personal training workout cards, depending on your needs. All of my programs are entirely automated, in that they are extremely easy to select your exercises and set/rep scheme you want from them simply using dropdown lists. How much time would it save you to just select a few boxes and have your program set for 4 WEEKS?! Not only does it save time, it gives you consistency in your training and allows you to easily track progress.

In general, the Excel workout spreadsheets are made in 4 week blocks, simply because we want to perform the movement enough times that the body has time to optimally adapt to it. Untrained to moderately trained individuals can adapt to the same movement for MONTHS on end, so why do completely different things when we want our clients to do a few things with extremely high quality? Here is an example of what my preset personal training workout card looks like:

HOW IT WORKS
As you can see, it has all the information you could need for building a truly structured workout program for an individual. Here is how you build the workout. First: Select the movement template you want to work (i.e legs, single leg, chest, upper back, arms, shoulders etc).

Personal Training Template, excel workout log

Second: Select the specific exercise you want to work. As you can see, this changes based on what body part you wish to work, so if you select Lower Body, a list of preset lower body exercises will show up.

Third: Select the exercise program (ie sets and reps) you want your client to perform. This will automatically fill the workout boxes, and your work is done!

Do this for every exercise and you have developed a thought out, 4 week program for your client. Add simplicity and consistency to your training, and most importantly, RESULTS.  To see more information and purchase this item, please go here:

Introduction

Hello Everyone, I am the owner of ExcelTrainingDesigns. I have my Masters Degree in Exercise Science and am currently a strength and conditioning coach in South Florida. The key to making results in whatever your field is, be it personal training or sports performance, is having a plan for training. Notice I did not say plan for exercising or workout out. A plan for training. Training to meet a specific goal at a specific time, because if you do not have a goal or a time in which you want to meet it, what are you actually trying to accomplish? If you have a plan for training, it will allow your clients to meet their goals, allow you to build your reputation and ultimately your client base. The best, most customizable way to have a plan in place which is easy and fast to make, easy to read and best of all, easily explainable to your clients is by using Excel. After working with Excel for hundreds of hours, I now offer my services to you in the form of pre-made or custom personal training workout cards and personal training templates, with virtually endless customizations suited to your needs.
